This Refund and Cancellation Policy explains the terms under which Solar Basket Engineering Pvt. Ltd. accepts cancellations, returns, replacements, and refunds for products sold under the Solar Basket brand through our website, authorised partners, or direct sales.

2. Order cancellation
- Cancellation before dispatch
An order can be cancelled before it is dispatched from our facility. If cancellation is approved, the refund will be processed after internal confirmation and payment gateway timelines. - Cancellation after dispatch
If the order has already been dispatched, cancellation is not guaranteed. In such cases, the customer may need to accept the delivery and then request return as per the return terms below, if applicable. - Cancellation of customised or made-to-order products
Orders for customised, branded, engraved, special-colour, bulk gifting, or made-to-order products cannot be cancelled once production or packing has started. Such orders are not eligible for refund, except in case of verified manufacturing defect or wrong supply by Solar Basket.
3. Special terms for Solar Diya products
Solar Diya products are offered with a one year replacement warranty only for
manufacturing defects, as per Solar Basket warranty process and verification. This is a replacement support commitment and does not mean refunds are applicable after purchase. Refunds for Solar Diya orders are generally not provided once the order is dispatched, except in case of verified wrong supply by Solar Basket or verified transit damage reported within the required timeline.
4. Eligibility for returns
Returns are accepted only in the following cases:
- The product received is damaged during transit, and the damage is reported within the defined timeline
- The wrong product was delivered
- The product has a verified manufacturing defect at the time of delivery or first use, as per warranty and inspection process
- Returns are not accepted for change of mind, preference, colour choice, or incorrect selection by the customer.
5. Damaged or missing items in transit
If you receive a damaged package or missing item, you must inform us within 48 hours of delivery with clear photos and unpacking video where possible. Claims raised after this period may not be accepted.
For visible external damage, we strongly recommend noting the issue with the delivery personnel at the time of delivery, wherever feasible.
6. Return request process
To request a return or replacement:
- Contact Solar Basket support with your order reference or invoice number
- Share photos or videos showing the issue clearly.
- Our team may request basic troubleshooting or verification
- If approved, we will share the return or replacement procedure
Returned products must be unused, in original condition, and in original packaging with all accessories, unless the return is due to a verified defect after use.
7. Inspection and approval
All return, replacement, and refund requests are subject to inspection and verification by Solar Basket or authorised service partners. Approval depends on:
- Nature of issue and supporting evidence
- Condition of the product returned
- Compliance with the timelines and process in this policy
8. Replacement policy
Where applicable, we may offer replacement of the same model or equivalent product, subject to stock availability. For Solar Diya products, replacement support is provided for manufacturing defects within one year of purchase, as stated in the Solar Diya warranty terms. For bulk gifting and CSR projects, replacement terms may also be governed by a written project agreement.
9. Refund Policy
- Refunds are processed only after the return is received and inspected, or after claim validation in case of dispatch cancellation or verified non-fulfilment.
- Refunds will be issued using the original payment method wherever possible.
- Payment gateway processing timelines may vary.
10. Shipping and handling charges
- Shipping charges, transaction charges, packaging charges, or convenience fees, if applicable, are generally non-refundable
- If the return is due to wrong supply or verified manufacturing defect, return shipping support may be offered as per internal approval and product category
- If the return is due to customer selection error, return shipping costs will be borne by the customer, if return is approved
11. Non-returnable items
The following are generally non-returnable unless received damaged or with a verified manufacturing defect:
- Customised, branded, engraved, special packaging, or made-to-order products
- Bulk corporate gifting orders once dispatched
- Products damaged due to misuse, mishandling, incorrect installation, or unauthorised repairs
- Consumable parts and accessories unless received defective
12. Limitation of liability
Solar Basket’s responsibility under this policy is limited to the product value as per invoice, and applicable repair, replacement, or refund as approved. Solar Basket is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of profit, loss of business, or downtime.
