- Warranty coverage applies only to manufacturing defects and component failures that occur under normal usage conditions and as per the product’s intended application.
- Warranty support may include repair, replacement of the defective part, or replacement of the product, at Solar Basket’s discretion, after inspection
3. Warranty periods
Warranty duration varies by product category and model. The exact warranty period applicable to your purchase is mentioned on the quotation, order confirmation, invoice, or warranty card shared at the time of sale.
Solar Basket provides separate warranty categorisation for the following:
3.1 Warranty for Solar Diya and cultural gifting products :
- Solar Diya and cultural gifting products include solar diyas, solar samai, decorative solar lamps, and similar gifting models.
- Warranty terms for these products are defined model-wise and are communicated on the invoice or official quotation.
- Coverage typically includes manufacturing defects and electronic component issues under normal indoor or intended decorative usage conditions.
3.2 Warranty for all other Solar
Basket products :
- This includes solar dryers, solar insect traps, solar CCTV and surveillance solutions, solar garden and outdoor lights, solar tree, solar bench, solar portable tower, and other solar utility products.
- Warranty terms for these products are defined category-wise and model-wise and are communicated on the invoice or official quotation.
- Coverage typically includes manufacturing defects
and component failures under standard operating conditions.
4. Warranty conditions
To be eligible for warranty support, the following
conditions must be met:
- The product must be purchased from Solar Basket Engineering Pvt. Ltd. or an authorised channel partner or distributor.
- The customer must provide valid proof of purchase such as invoice or order reference.
- The product must be installed, operated, and maintained as per the guidelines shared by Solar Basket.
- Serial number or product identification must be intact and readable where applicable.
5. What is not covered under warranty
Warranty does not cover issues resulting from the following:
- Physical damage, mishandling, abuse, negligence, or accidents
- Improper installation, incorrect wiring, or use of incompatible accessories
- Unauthorised repairs, modifications, opening of sealed units, or tampering
- Damage due to transportation handled by the customer or third parties, unless covered under a separate written agreement
- Normal wear and tear, cosmetic fading, scratches, corrosion due to harsh environments, or ageing of consumables
- Performance reduction due to site conditions such as shading, dust accumulation, extreme weather exposure, or poor solar irradiation
- Damage due to events beyond reasonable control including fire, flood, lightning, surge, and other natural calamities
6. Performance expectations and solar dependency
Solar products depend on sunlight availability, installation orientation, seasonal variation, and site conditions. Variations
in performance due to environmental factors are normal and are not considered manufacturing defects.
7. Warranty claim process
To raise a warranty request, please follow the process below:
- Share invoice details and product identification with Solar Basket support.
- Provide a brief description of the issue and clear photos or videos where possible.
- Our team may suggest basic checks and troubleshooting before a return is initiated.
- If inspection is required, the product or part may need to be sent to Solar Basket or an authorised service point.
- After inspection, Solar Basket will confirm the resolution which may be repair, part replacement, or product replacement.
For bulk orders including corporate gifting and CSR projects, Solar Basket may follow a defined replacement and reporting process as agreed in writing for that project.
8. Service, logistics, and timelines
If a product needs to be shipped for inspection or repair, logistics responsibility and costs depend on the product category, warranty terms, and the nature of the claim. These details will be communicated at the time of claim validation.
9. Limitation of liability
Solar Basket’s warranty obligation is limited to repair or replacement as stated in this policy. Solar Basket is not liable for
indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, including loss of profit, loss of business, or downtime costs.
10. Policy updates
Solar Basket may update this Warranty Policy from time to time. The applicable warranty is the one shared at the time of
purchase, unless otherwise required by law.
